FCPN Annual Meeting

The annual meeting of the Florida Church Planting Network (FCPN) will be held on Thursday, March 5 at Redeemer PCA in Winter Haven (1410 Dundee Road, Winter Haven, FL 33884).

Sean Lucas will be joining us to share his understanding of the founding vision of the PCA and how churches might be more meaningfully involved in shaping the future of the denomination. Sean is the pastor of Independent Presbyterian Church (PCA) in Memphis, TN. He is also the Chancellor’s Professor of Church History at Reformed Theological Seminary. I am excited to have Sean with us. 

It  will also be an opportunity to meet our new church planters and apprentices, and to hear the latest news of how God is working in our churches and presbyteries. 

The schedule for the day will be:

10:00 AM - breakfast and conversation

10:15 AM - Sean Lucas/ Q&A

11:30 AM - FCPN business

12:15 PM - Lunch (4 Rivers BBQ)/ Church Plant reports

1:30 PM - Head home

This is the one time each year when our member churches are gathered together. I hope you will make plans to join us. It is always an encouraging time together.

The Florida Church Planting Network annual meeting will be held at St Paul’s PCA in Orlando (4917 Eli St, Orlando, FL 32804) on Thursday, February 27 from 10am-1pm. This is the one time each year that we are all together as a Network. We hope you’ll join us.

Church Planter Readiness Seminar

IS CHURCH PLANTING FOR YOU?

Attend a Church Planter Readiness Seminar. Through input, dialogue and evaluation by experienced church planters you’ll receive helpful insight into your church planting competencies, and leave with a plan to strengthen your ministry skills in key areas. 

You’ll also rate yourself using the Church Planter Profile developed for use at MNA’s Assessment Centers. Others will also be asked to evaluate you. The resulting Snapshot will help you develop learning strategies for growth and development in ministry skills.

OUTCOMES

You will better understand the nature of church planting ministry. 
You will explore “calling” and motivation for church planting. 
You will evaluate your church planter competencies. 
You will have a more realistic basis for thinking and praying about church planting.
